Stuff I Never Would Have Bought With My Own Money!

Before anyone says, "Why do you have another haul?"  Especially after I said I was done... BUT... some of my students' parents were very generous to me on graduation and I got some parting presents.  Most of them gave me gift cards for Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts but I did get gift cards for Macy's, Target, and Sephora.
Hit the jump for more.

I decided to use the Macy's card towards something the boyfriend and I could enjoy in the kitchen.  After a short discussion, we decided to get a hand blender so that I could be more adventurous with baking and he could try his hand at soups and sauces.  Macy's was having an awesome sale for July 4th and so we were able to purchase this hand blender from Kitchenaid for $99.99

It comes with a blender, food processor, and whisk attachment on top of the three different blades.  The blades have guards that you can clip over them so the stainless steel metal won't scratch cookware.  I am looking forward to making yummy smoothies and meringues~!  My gift card covered $50 with an addition $7 off from a coupon so I paid around $40 out of my own pocket.  Original price for this set is $139.99.

At Sephora, I decided to buy a palette of some kind to get the most out of my gift card.  I wanted to make sure I was getting a great product as well.  After walking around the store multiple times, I settled on these two items:

I love the colors in this collection.  It was really hard to choose, as Too Faced had a lot of different themes to choose from.  In the end, I picked this one because of the great pigment quality and that some of the shadows were matte.  Finding matte shadows with great pigmentation can be hard to find.  Many of the shadows I have tried from the drugstore brands don't show up well at all.  I am looking forward to using this palette at my sister's wedding!

I chose this lip palette so that I customize my lip colors more.  I can mix and layer with in the palette or with my own lipsticks.  It's so annoying to go lipstick hunting for different shades so I thought it would be convenient to be able to make them up on my own at home.
The shadow palette was $36 and the lip palette was $24.  My gift card covered $50 so I payed the remaining $10 plus tax.

I am so thankful to these generous parents.  It's not often I can splurge on things like make up especially from Sephora.  And I certainly would have never thought about getting a hand blender before.  I hope that I am worthy of their generosity as I do try to be a good teacher to their children.  God bless them all~!

Hopefully I can put up some more recipes soon!
