Now that we're officially in the Holiday season, I'm sure we're all bustling about to get gifts for all our loved ones. Interestingly enough, I don't exchange gifts with my family often. Usually my sister and I pool together some money to buy our parents something or even just get a gift card whilst my mother will take us shopping on behalf of my dad as well. This Christmas, I think the best gift will be that our whole family will be together. It happens once a year and originally I didn't think I was going to be able to make it home for Christmas but due to an unexpected emergency, I was able to be excused from work to be with my family for a week.
Meanwhile, I do have a small list of people I will be getting gifts for although some may be late since my bank has been set back a bit buy a last minute plane ticket. So what kind of gifts are surefire hits?
Anything from Lush is pretty good. They have awesome pre-wrapped packages filled with their products. Smaller packages are cheapest and carry at least two items while big boxes carry an wide variety of items. If you have a secret Santa thing, this is perfect. Just walk in and tell them your budget and the employees will show you all the packages that fall under it. I recently purchased this for my work's Secret Santa:
(Lush)
It contains a delicious smelling soap and sugar scrub exfoliator. Very safe for a person new to Lush. Also a great unisex gift!
Another great idea are Nail Polish Minis. A lot of brand names package their seasonal colors into mini bottles and put 4-6 in a box, selling it for the price of 2 regular size polishes. These are awesome because they let you try a greater variety for less and without the commitment to humongous bottles that take forever to get through.

Jewelry if done right can also be a great gift. Really think about the style of the person you are gifting. How many times do you admire costume jewelry pieces but not bother buying because it seems so frivolous? Women are either go crazy with buying jewelry or over-restrain themselves from buying. Hence, jewelry is pretty safe as long as you pick a style that matches the person. If you're going to buy a ring, look for the stretchy bands if you don't know their ring size.

Anyway, I'm off to browse through my favorite sites for some more holiday inspiration!
