Post-Christmas Rush and Lush!

I'm back home in NJ after being with my family for the past week in GA!  It was so nice to see all of them and be together for the holidays.  We did gift exchanging on Christmas Eve because my flight was on Christmas Day.    Today, I bravely went to the mall which was rife with traffic congestion to do my Christmas shopping.  It was a little overwhelming but got out of there in two hours.  I got some of my coworkers yummy Voluspa candles, a hair straightener for my roommate, Fashion sketchpad and tattoo pens for her daughter, and Skyrim for my boyfriend!  On top of getting all the gifts I needed to pick up, my boyfriend decided to be awesome and let me spend $100 at Lush!  =D


So after Christmas, Lush always has a huge sale on all their Christmas items and others from the regular line made before November.  It's a way to clean house and make room for the new stuff.  Apparently, this only happens once a year.  The sale is buy one, get one free.  I was going to check online to order from there but a lot of the stuff I was interested was already out of stock.  =(  That made me super nervous about going into the store.  What was I going to find?

I walked into Lush and I was shocked by how BARE the walls were.  Usually they're teeming with wrapped gifts of all shapes and sizes but they were all gone!  I scanned the shelves and was disappointed that I didn't see much there.  An employee approached me and asked me if I knew about the sale.  I played dumb and he proceeded to explain it all to me and point out which items qualified in the sale around the store.  He then pulled up this baby:

I know it's hard to tell from this picture, but this is a pretty big box.  Original price is $189.95.  Because this item is so expensive and nothing else in the store would match its value (unless one bought 20 soaps), I got this 50% off!  That's right... I got this for $101.37 after tax!  I bought the last one they had but they said they were getting a last shipment of Christmas things tomorrow.  I couldn't wait to get home and open it up!
