Snowflake Mania

So my roommate and her daughter started decorating the house about two weeks ago for Christmas. The decorations included making paper snowflakes to hang from the ceilings. I remember making snowflakes in school as a kid but it had been such a long time that I had forgotten how to do it. My roommate and her daughter showed me how to make them and now I can't stop! Here's a tutorial if you have forgotten the magic of making snowflakes like me.

1. Take a sheet of paper like this one

2. Take a corner and bring up to the opposite side so that the two adjacent edges can line up like so

3. Take the bottom folded corner and bring it up to the opposite corner

4. Fold in half using the bottom corner as the disector

5. Fold in half again from the thickest bottom corner

6. Cut the excess paper following the edge of side with the smaller triangle

7. Unfold once and your paper is evenly cut and prepared to become a snowflake
8. Start cutting but be careful not to overchop! Make squiggles and shapes as you please for a more interesting snowflake.
9. When you're done, start unfolding...
10. And ta-da! You're snowflake is done!

You can easily jazz them up with color and glitter for a complete festive look!
Note: I apologize for the sloppy layout of pictures.  Still getting the hang of this.
